Shante Crockett graduated from Forrest City High School and later moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas where she earned a Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Arkansas in Sociology. An experienced community and economic development professional. A native of Washington, D.C., Kimberly holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning. She’s honored to list two prestigious HBCUs as her alma mater – Tuskegee University and Jackson State University. Her love for spontaneous day trips and discovery follows the belief that not all who wander are lost.

Vilas is a passionate educator, social entrepreneur, and community advocate in Jackson, Mississippi. Holding an M.A.T from the University of Mississippi and a B.A. in Politics Honors from the University of Virginia, I'm dedicated to fostering change through education and social entrepreneurship. In addition to serving as the Equity Fellow at the Center for Social Entrepreneurship, Vilas is the Co-Founder of Riverside Collective, an instructor with Princeton Tutoring, and a former Barista at Coffee Prose. His time teaching 6th Grade Computer Science Teacher at Blackburn Middle School set him on a path to reinventing broken systems to build political and social power.

Ms. Clark is a lifelong resident of the iVillage and was educated solely in Jackson, MS. She earned her High School Diploma from Jim Hill High School. She has an Associates of Arts Degree in Business and Office Technology from Hinds Community College. She furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management from Belhaven University. She has spent most of her professional career working in the Affordable Housing and Community Development arena. This field of work includes affordable housing development, federal grant management, first-time homebuyer education, community engagement, and housing development finance. She loves her West Jackson Community and is so proud to be working with the Center for Social Entrepreneurship to connect with her neighbors and make the iVillage a great place to live.
